The Hair Growth Cycle 

The Hair Growth Cycle consists of four phases.

Phase One: Growth

(Anagen: Two to Five years)

Phase Two: Transitional

(Catagen: Two to Three weeks)

Phase Three: Resting

(Telogen: Two to Three months)

Phase Four: Shedding

(Exogen: Three to Six weeks)

Each hair follicle is independent and goes through its own hair growth cycle.
